Josh has always been proud of, and revered that he’s the first person his family or friends call when they’re in a bind or weighing a tough life decision. His clients, colleagues and business partners rely on him in much of the same way – and Josh doesn’t take that responsibility lightly; whether it is in his personal or professional life, Josh comes through for those that rely upon him.

Josh is an entrepreneur at heart and when you talk with him, you quickly learn why clients choose him as their trusted adviser. He has a wealth of experience in closing large and complex M&A transactions and is just as comfortable handling a diverse selection of matters involving emerging businesses, collegiate and professional sports, health care, corporate governance, real estate development and a host of matters that are collateral to those areas.

PARTNER
Josh has a business and entrepreneurial-focused practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate transactions, entity formation, and other general corporate advice. Josh routinely closes over $250 million worth of main street to middle market transactions each year across a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, technology and many others. Josh’s business practice also frequently involves commercial real estate developments, where he advises developers and investors on joint venture partnerships, as well as debt and equity financing arrangements. Josh has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, with a niche for emerging businesses, private equity and venture capital, manufacturing and construction. Josh also routinely serves as outside general counsel to start ups, closely held businesses, as well as regional and national corporations.
Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending time at home with his wife, Hannah, and their dog, Laila, and cat, Obi. Josh is an avid reader of a variety of genres, with his guilty pleasures being that of cold-war styled espionage thrillers, and science-fiction novels. Josh and Hannah also love spending the weekends with their beloved nieces and nephews and finding time when they can to catch the latest blockbuster movie at the theatre. Josh is also passionate about being involved in the community, where he serves on the Board of Directors of Wellspring.

- Represented industrial software company in $30 million merger with strategic buyer backed by international private equity firm
- Represented food and beverage startup in $20 million Series A financing
- Represented a nationwide tank construction company in an $18 million asset purchase of a welding and fabrication company
- Represented commercial real estate fund in $20 million restructuring and new equity financing
- Represented an immediate care company in a $18 million equity sale of to a strategic buyer backed by private equity firm
- Represented private equity firm and portfolio company in food and beverage industry in $3 million equity and debt restructuring
