SCOTT BRINKMAN
OF COUNSEL

Service has been the defining characteristic of Scott’s professional life, representing his clients in hundreds of commercial transactions spanning over four decades. Scott has always been a first chair attorney, who takes tremendous pride in personally drafting and negotiating legal documents which are clear, concise and protect the client’s interests. Scott believes that a foundational tenet of service is being responsive and accessible to his clients during their time of need. Service is not just a theoretical concept to Scott—it is a way of life.

Scott’s service also includes two separate positions in Kentucky state government. First, Scott served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives representing eastern Jefferson County from 2001 through 2010. Second, and more recently, Scott served as the Secretary of the Executive Cabinet during the administration of Governor Matt Bevin from 2015 through 2019. Scott’s experience in state government has afforded him a perspective not shared by most attorneys and has benefited his clients immeasurably over the years.
